5 Shakes to fight constipation

There are many natural remedies to fight constipation, but an easier and more enjoyable way to do this is to select foods that promote intestinal transit and take them daily.

In this article we propose some milkshakes that you can take throughout the day and that will help you to improve your bowel function, among other benefits.

Milkshakes better than juices

Although natural juices and smoothies are very healthy and give us a lot of vitamins and minerals, if we want to treat constipation better opt for the milkshakes, as they include the fiber of the fruits, which is wasted in the case of what s juices.

That’s why the milkshakes are also much more satiating, so we can take them for breakfast or snack, which is also a delicious and healthy way to avoid the abuse of sugars and refined flours.

Honey to Sweeten

If we want to sweeten some of these milkshakes we dispense with white sugar, which is a poison for our health, and choose a very natural sweetener and also has laxative properties: Acacia honey. If we do not find it, we can choose any other type of bee honey, or a natural molasses of fruit (apple, pear) or cereals.

Kefir and prunes

Kefir is a type of fermented yogurt that has all the benefits of yogurt and some more advantages, as it is digested more easily because it contains less lactose and that improves our intestinal flora by being a fermented food. The kefir we can buy already prepared or do it ourselves with the fungus and milk.

Prunes, in addition to being rich in calcium and excellent food to prevent osteoporosis, have a large amount of fiber and are known since antiquity as one of the best anti-constipation foods. Plums, if possible, we will have put them in soaking the night before.

Oats and Dates

Unlike the rice drink, which can constipate a little to those who have a tendency, the oat drink is rich in mucilages, a type of fiber that improves the evacuation. For this milkshake we can use oatmeal or a tablespoon of oatmeal that we have soaked a couple of hours in hot water.

The dates, like most dried fruits, contain a large amount of fiber and in this case also provide a lot of vitality, making it an ideal milkshake for the morning The oats will give a very creamy texture and the dates will bring sweetness.

Apple and Kiwi

The Apple has been used in both cases of constipation and diarrhea. The secret is in its peeling, which contains most of the fiber. However, to consume it with its peeling we will have to obtain ecological apples free of pesticides.

We can use the raw apple or cook it for a while, which will give it even more flavor.

On the other hand, Kiwi is another of the fruits that have traditionally been taken fasting for their laxative benefits.

 Yogurt and figs

Yogurt is an alternative if we cannot find or elaborate the kefir, although it does not contain so many ferments. We will try, however, that it is as natural as possible and that it does not contain sugars, sweeteners, dyes or artificial flavors.

The figs, whether they are fresh or dry, are very rich in fiber and will also bring natural sweetness to this delicious milkshake.

Hazelnuts and flax seeds

Finally we emphasize the dried fruit and the seeds that more fiber contain and that, therefore, we will be able to beat together with a vegetal drink to our taste.

Hazelnuts also regulate blood sugar levels.

In some diets we can find hazelnut milk, which has an excellent flavor and combines very well with a little cocoa.

For its part, the flax seeds will leave them soaking all night to release the mucilage. The water we will also incorporate into the milkshake.

The mixing ratio will be a handful of hazelnuts and a teaspoon of flax seeds.
